This weekend saw a wave of positivity, acceptance, and love spread throughout the city of Perth, in celebration of the Pride WA festival. In packed out scenes at Adam & Steve’s Garden of Eden, Philip La Rosa performed his new single, “Pride” for the first time. Alongside dancing extraordinaires, Tamsyn Trombettoni and Tobias Wolinski, Philip also gave the Pride crowd a taste of his EP, “Strong”, with a performance of “Edge of Greatness”.
And not just that – since its release just three days ago, the Pride music video has already racked up over 200,000 views, and a flood of praise from the LGBTQI community.
“I’m so grateful for the support this song has received. Releasing my own music has always been a dream of mine and to do it while spreading a positive message of self-love and equality makes it so worthwhile. The overwhelming amount of messages and comments mean the world! To the team who made this video happen, the team who made the music happen, to you reading this status and everyone else who keeps supporting the music video and the album – I seriously can’t thank you all enough,” says Philip.
If you didn’t get to catch Philip’s performance – this video will give you a great taste of what to expect, until the next time Philip takes to the stage. Take a peep below.
